Digital strategy

A successful transformation starts long before the first configuration screen. It starts with a business strategy translated into a digital roadmap, an honest business case and a governance that makes decisions. We take programs on at that stage and carry them through to adoption by the teams, in Senegal and across the sub-region.

The problem

The system changes.
The business, not always.

How many technically delivered programs have transformed nothing? An application target was defined without a business target. The business case was never tested against reality. Governance arbitrated too late. Teams discovered the change at go-live. The cause is rarely the technology. The program lacked framing, and bodies that decide in time. That is the work we take on, with the general management, finance and IT leadership of companies and institutions in Senegal and across UEMOA.

Our approach

From strategy to results.

One continuous thread, from business ambition to adoption, carried by senior consultants. On these engagements, AGILICIS sits on your side of the table: framing, program management and representing the business in front of software vendors and integrators. How we work

01

Translate the strategy

Start from the business ambition (growth, new markets, public service delivered, compliance) and translate it into capabilities to build. The digital roadmap follows from there, not from a technology catalogue.

02

Draw the IT master plan

Current-state assessment, target application landscape, decommissioning plan for the legacy, sequencing in waves that each deliver value. A course that both the executive team and the IT department can read.

03

Quantify the business case

Compared scenarios, full costs, expected benefits, exchange-rate exposure when licences and hosting are paid in foreign currency. A file prepared like an investment decision, then tracked after go-live.

04

Govern the program

PMO, risk and dependency management, explicit milestones, bodies that decide quickly. Governance that serves the program, with one person accountable end to end.

05

Anchor the change

Impact analysis, change management from the framing phase, training, a network of champions, measurement of real adoption. The transformation is complete when the teams operate better than before.

What we take on

From intent to operation.

Digital roadmap

Translation of the business strategy into prioritised workstreams, with their prerequisites, dependencies and expected benefits. The document the executive team commits to.

IT master plan

Assessment of the information system, target application landscape (ERP, CRM, data, cloud, business applications), trajectory in waves. A shared, costed course, with no complacency.

Business case & framing

Opportunity study, transformation scenarios, full costs in CFA francs and in foreign currency, results measurement framework. Value defined before the program, verified afterwards.

Governance & PMO

Program management, risk management, quality, coordination between software vendors, integrators and internal teams. Regular reporting and milestones kept.

Client-side project support

Business requirements stated in a verifiable way, documented standard-versus-custom decisions, demanding acceptance testing, go-live preparation. The business represented at every step.

Change management & adoption

Business impacts, support plan, management communication, training of key users and teams. Adoption indicators defined before go-live, tracked afterwards.

The context

A roadmap designed for here.

A digital strategy in Senegal or across UEMOA cannot be copied from a model built elsewhere. It takes into account the OHADA framework and SYSCOHADA for finance, Law No. 2008-12 and the CDP (Senegal's data protection authority) for personal data, multi-company and multi-country groups in a single currency, connectivity and the cost of cloud in foreign currency. For public institutions, it integrates public procurement and accountability. We address these constraints from the framing phase, not at cutover. Where does your transformation stand? Our self-assessment

Going live on a system is a project milestone. The transformation shows in the following year's figures.
